POST 29/259 : MANAGER: PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICESChief Directorate: Metro Health Services

SALARY : R1 089 693 per annum (A portion of the package can be structured accordingto the individual’s personal needs)

CENTRE : Northern/Tygerberg Sub-structure

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum educational qualification: Basic qualification accredited with theSouth African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) that allows registration with the SAPCas a Pharmacist. Registration with the South African Pharmacy CouncilRegistration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist. Experience: A minimum of 3years appropriate experience after registration as a Pharmacist with the SAPC.Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.Competencies (knowledge/skills): Leadership and management experience.Training and experience in Medicine Management. Strong leadership skillswith regard to management, organisation and strategic planning. Projectmanagement skills and Computer Literacy.

DUTIES :

Strategic planning and implantation with clear milestone targets. Technicalsupport to the pharmacy staff and pharmacy quality assurance. Overallleadership and co-ordination of the Pharmacy services. Ensure that Pharmacypractices are institutionalised in sub-structure and district level. In- deptknowledge of the Health Act, National Drug Policy, Pharmacy Act, WorldHealth Organisation and relevant policies of the Department of Health. Coordinate the implementation and adherence to the GPP.
