SALARY : R257 508 per annum

CENTRE : Head Office, Cape Town

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum educational qualification: National Diploma (T or N or S stream)Electronics / Electrical – light Current or Mechatronics or Mechanical or Biomedical or registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) asa professional Engineering Technician. Inherent requirements of the job: ValidCode (B/EB) drivers’ license and competent to drive. Willing to work overtime,stay away and travel throughout the Western Cape Province. Experience:Experience with repair and maintenance to Life Support and related medicalequipment or demonstrate an aptitude for this type work. Competencies(knowledge/skills): Excellent ability to fault find and repair down to componentlevel. Practical hands-on experience with repair of Life Support equipment.Computer literate. Good written and verbal communication.

DUTIES :

Completing task with time limits. Liaising with clients with regard to informationand work progress. Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and SafetyAct. Prioritising work and consideration of operational requirements and assistwith training of staff and operators. Requesting of parts and service via LOGISsystem. Maintaining of Maintenance Management and internal records. Writereports and assist with specifications. To carry out maintenance, repairs andinstallation of Life Support and related medical equipment. Visit institutions tomaintain service routes and preventative maintenance schedules.
