POST 29/104 : DIRECTOR: KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION REF NO:DPSA 26/2021
SALARY :
R1 057 326 per annum (Level 13). The all-inclusive remunerative packageconsists of basic salary (70% of the total remuneration package), the State’scontribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund (13% of basic salary)and a flexible portion that may be structured according to personal needs withina framework.

REQUIREMENTS :
A Senior Certificate, An appropriate B. Degree in Knowledge Managementand Innovation or equivalent qualification at NQF level 7. A pre-entrycertificate for SMS must be completed before an appointment can beconsidered. Minimum of 5 years’ at a Middle/Senior Management level. At leastMinimum 8 years’ experience in Knowledge Management Minimum 8years’ experience in Knowledge Management. Sound knowledge of theConstitution of the Republic of South Africa. Government legislativeframework. Public Service legislative and policy framework. Governmentprograms such as the National Development. Sound understanding ofoperations management Technical Skills: Policy development KnowledgeManagement, Business Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation. ManagerialSkills: Decision making, Problem solving, Written and verbalcommunication, Stakeholder management and coordination, Strategicthinking and leadership, Analytical skills, Interpersonal relations, Teamwork, Confidentiality, Financial management, Human resourcemanagement, Research, Change management. Project and programmanagement. DUTIES :
Manage the development of Prescripts on Knowledge Management. Managethe Provision of Implementation Support to Departments. Manage themonitoring of implementation and compliance. Manage all the Operations,Systems and Processes of the Directorate. Provide guidance on thedevelopment of Prescripts. Process requests for approval of requests andresponses to enquiries to the relevant approval authority within thedepartments (DPSA). Manage the implementation of knowledge managementInterventions for improvement within the relevant departments. Provideknowledge management and Innovation Technical support and advice.Manage and ensure the Development of Prescripts (policies, norms andstandards, directives, circulars, frameworks and guidelines), research anddevelopment for Knowledge Management Practices within the Public Service.Manage the Monitoring of Compliance to Knowledge Management &Innovation Prescripts by National and Provincial Departments. Manage theEvaluation and Impact Assessment of the Knowledge Management &Innovation Prescripts.
