SALARY : R102 534 per annum

CENTRE : Oral Health Centre, Tygerberg/Mitchells Plain

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience:Appropriate porter experience in a health facility. Inherent requirement of thejob: Ability to perform tasks such as lifting of patients from/onto beds, trolleysand wheelchairs. Prepared to work in all departments/clinics in hospital.Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to communicate in two of the threeofficial languages of the Western Cape.

DUTIES :

Assist and accompany patients per wheelchair/trolley/bed from reception to theclinics or from clinics to treatment sections. Deliver and collecting medical andother documentation (patient files, reports, etc) to/from clinics and treatmentareas. Deliver specimens to laboratories and ensure a safe and hygienic workenvironment. Respond to request from clinics/departments and transport blood products to Tygerberg Hospital. Transporting of deceased corpse to holdingarea. Act as reliever for messenger when needed.
