R562 800 per annum (PN-B3)

REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e.diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registrationwith the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse andMidwife. A post-basic nursing qualification with duration of at least 1-yearaccredited with the SANC in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal NursingScience. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANCas Professional Nurse and Midwife and proof of current registration (i.e. annuallicencing receipt of 2021. Experience: A minimum of 9 yearsappropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration asProfessional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of theperiod referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience in aspecific specialty after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification asmentioned above. Inherent requirements of the job: Current annual practicing certificate. Will be required to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Willbe required to deliver standby duties for the Hospital. Will be on required todeliver standby duties for Obstetric Theatre cases. Valid (Code B/EB) driver’slicense. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and insight of relevantlegislation and policy related to this nursing specialty within the public sectorand basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Outlook). Ability to promotequality patient care through the setting, implementation and monitoring ofstandards. Effective communication, interpretation, leadership, decisionmaking and conflict resolution and organizational skills. Ability to effectivelycommunicate in at least two of the three official languages of the WesternCape.
DUTIES :
Supervise, plan and implement clinical and corporate governance in theMaternity ward. Provide effective leadership and management of PeopleManagement and financial resources to ensure optimal operational functions.Ensure effective and efficient Quality Assurance, Infection Prevention Controland Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace. Ensure implementationof all applicable policies, protocols and guidelines. Provide support tosupervisor and management and maintain in inter-professional and multidisciplinary teamwork.
