SALARY : R1 057 326 per annum (Level 13), (All Inclusive Salary Package) of which 30%can be structured according to individual needs.

CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS :

A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Risk Management at NQF level 7 asrecognized by SAQA coupled with five (5) years’ experience at MiddleManagement Level in Auditing / Risk Management. Membership of the Instituteof Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) / institute of Internal Auditors SouthAfrica (IIASA) / Association for Certified Fraud Examiners. The followingcertifications will be an added advantage, CIA, CCSA, CRMA, CA (SA) andCFE. Note: the following will serve as a recommendation: knowledge of PFMAand Treasury Regulations; knowledge of Financial Management andProvisioning administration; Good communication skills (verbal and written); interpersonal management; presentation skills; problem solving; supervisory;facilitation advanced computer skills; sound knowledge of governmentprotocols, processes & regulations; The candidate must be willing to work &travel beyond normal working hours.

DUTIES :

The successful candidate will be responsible for: To develop, implement,manage and execute a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing,mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risk that impact on department’sperformance. Manage the development, implementation and management ofa risk management framework, strategy and protocol; monitor and evaluate theeffectiveness and efficiency of a risk management framework and embeddedpractices; Facilitate the identification, assessment & mitigation of risk utilizingappropriate tools and techniques; Institutionalize and facilitate the embeddingof risk management, business continuity and combined assurance; Facilitatethe compilation of strategic and operational risk registers; Report all relevantERM matters including, findings, risk positions and recommendations torelevant stakeholders; Manage the coordination of the Risk Committee andperform the Secretariat function; Continually improve the relevant riskmanagement training needs for the risk management committee, riskchampions and all other staff in the department; Manage Human & FinancialResources.

The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMScompetency assessment tools. The successful candidate must disclose to theDirector-General particulars of all registrable financial interests, sign aperformance agreement and employment contract with the Director-Generalwithin three months from the date of assumption of duty. The successfulcandidate must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department.Applicants will be expected to be available for selection interviews andassessments at a time, date and place as determined by the Department.
